# how to append to file?

Hi

i have write scripts (inside a policy)  
i have write following line :  
“global result\_file = open\_log\_file(“result\_file”)”  
this led to create a new file with result\_file in current directory  
i want to run my policy to multi file and put output per file in “result\_file”  
but while i run my policy are create new file and overwrite to old “result\_file”

how to append output to old “result\_file” without create new file(overwrite)

There's a built-in function open\_for\_append().

I'm not sure what you're asking here.

You can make appending the default behavior for all of your log files by loading the "log-append" script.
