new broshell software & docs

I put together a few more notes and redid the broshell software to make
the command line work much more flexible. Some of the newer
functionality has not been adequately (as in at all) tested so let the
buyer beware!

If there is additional functionality that people would like to see put
into this, please let me know and I can give it a try.

There is documentation on the generic client coming as well.
