We’ve published a new Contribution Guide on the GitHub wiki. Previously focused on code and documentation only, this updated guide is now a unified resource covering all the ways you can contribute to Zeek.
The guide came directly out of community feedback: people want to contribute but don’t always know how or whether they’re the right fit. The goal was to make the answer to “how do I contribute?” clear regardless of your background or experience level.
Seven contribution types are covered:
- Share your experience
- Answer questions
- Testing and feedback
- Content (blog, video, workshops)
- Documentation
- Packages
- Code
Each type has a clear next step, and the higher-barrier types link to sub-pages with more detail on the process.
