Zeek feature pre-release v8.1.0-rc2

Zeek feature pre-release v8.1.0-rc2 is now available:

Significant Changes since the RC1 release:

  • ZeekJS upgraded to v0.22.
  • Spicy upgraded to the latest development version.
  • Added a new policy script to disable the new opcode and opcode_name fields in dns.log. This script is not loaded by default.
  • A number of fixes to the systemd generator.

We are targeting shortly after the new year for the full release of this feature release, assuming nothing major comes up in our final testing. As a reminder, with the release of 8.1.0, the 7.0.x line of Zeek LTS releases will be considered end-of-life and there will not be any more releases in that line. The 8.0.x line of Zeek LTS releases will continue getting patch releases as normal.
