updating tracker

I'm updating the tracker now, I'm hoping to be done in less than an hour.

The tracker update is done. For some reason that I can't figure out (and don't care too much about), existing passwords aren't working. When you go to login, you will have to do the password recovery thing on the login page.

One change that has been made is that people can now register for their own accounts. The documentation regarding this has been updated on the main page of the tracker.

If anyone notices anything broken please let me know!

Oops, I forgot to mention that the tracker can now be found at:
  http://tracker.bro-ids.org/

The links to old URLs for the tracker will redirect transparently so I don't expect people will notice anything in most cases.

When you login the first time with the temp pw, you must change it
before verifying your email address or else the temp pw turns into a
pumpkin and you will have to reset it again (ask me how I know).

A bug I see is that when I click on "Logout" at the top of the page I
end up here:

    http://tracker.bro-ids.org/bro/prefs/account

with the error "Unknown preference panel"

Ah, your email address wasn't previously verified because we used to create everyone's accounts ourselves. You won't see that email verification thing again. I'm not sure what's going on there though. I noticed it was a little funny when I went through it, but I didn't change my password until I verified my email address so I didn't run into the same problem as you.

I'll play with it some more when I get a chance.

It seems to only do that if you are in your preference panels when you click logout. Trac guys seem to be have been having some trouble in this area lately. Maybe it will be fixed in a future update. I'm not going to worry about it for now since it's really just a cosmetic issue (and one most people won't see).
