Minutes
During the first half of the meeting, the Zeek LT discussed the possibility of having a Zeek Week in 2024. We are in contact with an organization that might be willing to host us.
The LT discussion centered around timing, and avoiding overlaps with conflicting events, as well as event length.
Furthermore, the LT discussed questions to pose to the venue – like the possibility for outside food, charges for the event, A/V handling, etc.
We will inform the community as soon as we have more information.
The second half of the meeting centered on the Zeek Team. As mentioned in the meeting notes of the previous meeting, the role of the Zeek team in the project is a bit unclear, and activity in the team has stalled. We asked members of the Zeek team for opinions – the resulting discussion did not lead to any obvious results so far.
The LT discussed how to update the role of the Zeek Team inside the project. There is a general desire to have a list of people that might be willing to volunteer time for project tasks; we also want to make it easier to become a member of the team and make the process more fluid.
