Hi, does anyone know whether Bro is likely to be packaged for RHEL 7 in
the near future? Installing the current RPM gives:
error: Failed dependencies:
libpython2.6.so.1.0()(64bit) is needed by bro-2.3.1-1.x86_64
Presumably because RHEL 7 doesn't include python 2.6 any more (it's on 2.7).
I can submit an RFE but if it's already on the roadmap there's no need.
If this is a low priority let me know and I'll see if I can assist.

Right know I'm working on the Fedora package of Bro 2.3 and the plan
is to push that package to EPEL as well.
The package needs a couple of changes because of given locations/paths
and patches to work around the mixture of autotools elements and cmake
which confuses the build system. I don't make an promises but I hope
to be ready by the end of September.
If this is a low priority let me know and I'll see if I can

Once if it's done, a test run be nice. This will probably break things.
Kind regards,
Fabian
Thanks Fabian, I'll be happy to do a test installation then, just let me
know.
