Script comment periods

After a conversation with Robin in the airport, I'm going to start regular script comment periods starting at the beginning of January. I'll send my comments on several (2-4?) Bro scripts to the bro-dev mailing list every Monday and Wednesday to allow for a couple of days of comments and discussion. Then, I'll coalesce those into something more succinct that will be posted somewhere.

I'm bringing this up ahead of time because I wanted to see what people thought about announcing the bro-dev mailing list to the users list because I think it's a really good learning opportunity for people to watch Bro development in progress and I'd like as many people as are interested to join the discussion.

Unless I hear complaints, I'm going to go ahead and announce the bro-dev list next week.

I presume that this won't include the archives for previous bro-dev
discussions? Because I imagine those contain some not-for-public-consumption
postings.

Nope, just announcing the fairly freshly created bro-dev@bro-ids.org. I think the old bro-dev@george.lbl.gov is gone where those conversations would have taken place.

Yep, only going back to September...

Perfect Forward Security model for email lists.
