Soooooo....in testing, all my third party packages are muffed (deprecated (bro_init)). What's a reasonable time frame to start to bug package maintainers?

As a maintainer of the kafka plugin we’re working on a release right now (pre-zeek rename), and plan to fix 3.0 upgrade related issues as a part of the next release (likely a 1.0.0).
