Benefits corporation
We need a list of officers for the benefits corporation. During the meeting, several people volunteered for different positions, however the final setup remains to be determined.
Zeek LT election
The Zeek LT election is going to happen again starting next week.
Community survey updates
The LT talked about the results of the community survey. A deep-dive of this has been posted in our blog.
We also used this opportunity to discuss some of the points that were brought up by respondents of the survey. One of the main discussion points was the documentation. It was pointed out that it’s currently a bit hard to search – if you already know Zeek deeply and know how things work and where everything can be found it is pretty good.
An idea that was brought up was to split it into autogenerated code and hand-written documentation.
Events
The Zeek LT had a discussion about events. We talked about what works well in events – the main point brought up was that it enabled people to meet an exchange experiences. It was also pointed out that giving online talks is often not a good experience for the speaker – it’s hard to do this without being able to see audience reactions.
