Zeek benefit corporation
The main part of the meeting was taken up talking about the Zeek Project, a California nonprofit
public benefit corporation. This corporation will be the future home of the Zeek trademarks.
Currently the corporation is set up, but a bit stuck as we have no legal representation helping us
with day to day governance matters.
We spoke with Rebecca Hazard, General Counsel and Secretary of Corelight, Inc. about
potentially joining the Board of Directors of the Zeek Project to help us more directly.
Slack cleanup
If you are active on Slack, you probably noticed that the list of channels changed a bit, and that there are now improved descriptions and some other reorganizing.
We discussed this in this LT call – and we encourage you to introduce yourself and to join the new channels.
Zeek Community Survey
The Zeek community survey started on June 23.
During the LT call, we talked about how to promote the survey, and how to get as many submissions as possible. Ideas that were brought up include mentioning it on the Zeek GitHub page, direct outreach, and outreach to communities we are members of.
Zeek Blog
The LT discussed strategies how to get more content. We also talked about adding questions about which content it interesting to the survey.
