Zeek Community Liaison
As you might already have read in the recent blog post, Zeek project now has a community liaison. Michelle Pathe recently started working for Corelight and will spend most of her time working for the Zeek project.
In this meeting, the LT voted to add Michelle to the Community Seat of the Zeek LT. The community seat is a non-voting seat.
Michelle gave an overview of her first impressions of the Zeek project, especially with a view of the new user experience, and how we could improve this. This will probably be one of her first focus areas.
The Zeek LT is excited to work together with Michelle. We also want to express our gratitude to Corelight for creating a community liaison position for Zeek.
Zeek Benefit Corporation
There has been no change in the state of the Zeek benefit corporation – we are currently waiting for an update by the lawyers.
Oregon State University Open Source Lab
The OSUOSL recently announced that they are running out of financing, and their future is in jeopardy. The OSUOSL has been providing hosting for try.zeek.org since its incemption.
The LT discussed this topic. If necessary, we can move try.zeek.org to a different hosting provider – albeit at an increased cost.
